We learnt that Group Therapy play at Weddings and in Pubs and so I looked into the type of people who go to these venues.
Weddings -
To begin with I went onto www.statistics.gov.uk to find out the average age people are getting married. The site only had the information from 2001 which was 30.6 years old for males and 28.4 years for females. The site is a reliable source and so even though the information is a bit out of date it is more reliable whereas if I'd got the information from somewhere else it may have been incorrect.
Given this, the audience at these weddings would roughly be anyone of any age as all of the Bride and Groom's family and friends would be likely to attend.
This includes the Bride and Groom themselves, the parents of the Bride and Groom (which would be including an audience of 50+), Siblings of the Bride and Groom so they would probably be a similar age to the Bride and Groom themselves, Children of Siblings, Friends, Bride and Groom if they'd had children before the marriage. This means there will be all ages at a wedding and so the music performed would have to be suitable and appealing to all ages.
I then went onto http://www.affordaband.co.uk to look at the average cost of a wedding band. The cheapest on the page was from £880 and the highest £1490. I then went onto http://www.weddingguideuk.com to try and work out the average cost of a wedding which including the Bride and Groom's accessories, transportation, photography, honeymoon etc was £11,000 total.
Therefore to get married you'd be assumed to be quite wealthy and so the audience of bands at a wedding must be pretty wealthy people, of all ages.

When looking at pubs, I looked at a specific one, 'The Wheatsheaf' in Perry as Ian mentioned the band playing in it. The Facebook page for the pub; http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=52549091096 says that it is a traditional pub and restaurant. It's open all day, every day.
The main target audience of a pub is mainly middle aged males, who are probably middle classed as they can afford to buy a drink from a pub as they are more expensive than buying it from the supermarket and drinking from home. They also go here to socialize. Throughout the last few decades pubs have been more welcoming to females and to children so some also target these but are still mainly male orientated.
The pub is situated in Perry which is a village near Graftham water in Huntingdon. I used http://www.upmystreet.com to find out some of the statistics e.g. family income, which is 'very high', housing with mortgage which is 'medium', couples with children 'medium' etc etc. As the area is rural there is a fair bit of agricultural employment around but most people are affluent, well educated, professional people employed in senior managerial positions. There are also many people in the area that work from home. I also found out that residents tend to be older, aged 45+ with fewer children and more retired people, this is the kind of people you would expect to go to a pub and so is probably the type of person to enter 'The Wheatsheaf' pub and restaurant in Perry.
